Not quickly, but surely and steadily. If Lyme-N had not worked I would be so incredibly sick right now I would be non functional, considering I am not treating my Lyme at all.
On the flip side, my Adrenal Exhaustion symptoms have multiplied. How do I know what is AE and what is Lyme caused? About 90% of these symptoms I can tell you the exact day they will worsen or ramp up: Day 14 and Day 23 of my cycle. They are so tightly connected to my hormones that it's like clockwork. For years, I have marked day 23 on my calendar as "D Day": They day I have to stop planning to do anything. No appointments, social events, etc. If I can make it to the grocery store, I get ten gold stars. See the "My Symptoms" page for all the lovely details of the ways my body tortures me starting on that day each month.
Right now, the tendonitis and muscle weakness in my arms is at a level 7. Some days it's a level 10, others at a level 3. Overall, my body wide joint and muscle pain are the symptoms that effect daily life the most. These are well known symptoms of AE. Understanding AE is key to knowing how to treat it.... and it's not simple. It's a very tangled web of interrelated hormonal mysteries.
Right now I have added Progestelle, Iodine, Celtic Salt, Vit. C and some other things to my arsenal. I still need to find a good adrenal support supplement to begin taking. I have noticed improvement with the Progestelle.
The first time I applied it, I was feeling angry and anxious and just totally stressed. With only a few drops, it calmed my mood and those awful feelings subsided. I think the Iodine is a big help as well.
With everything, there are down sides. My hair is falling out like crazy: I think because of the Progestelle. And I am having severe insomnia: Again: could be the Progestelle or Iodine... not sure. Benedryl is not doing it's job as well to put me to sleep.
