Hunter is 19 and is working full time at the same mill that my husband works at. Not only that, he works 12 hour shifts! It's physically demanding in that he is on his feet for that whole time and 12 hours is just a really long time to work at the type of job he performs. He gets up at about 4:45 am every morning and gets home about 6:45 every night. He comes home tired, but in a good mood ready to talk to us about his day. This never would have been possible without him being totally cured of Lyme Disease with Lyme-N. He has the strength and energy of a normal, healthy person and is a productive member of society. It sounds cliche', but it is a mother's dream come true: for my son to live a healthy, productive life. It seemed completely out of reach just two years ago.
Colby is 15 ( will be 16 in a couple weeks!) and will finish up his Sophmore year of high school in a few days. He got excellent grades this year, A's and B's, without doing much (any?) homework. In a huge turn of events, I can't recall if he missed a day due to illness. He may have missed a day or two, but even when he had a cold or something, he wanted to go to school because he hates missing and then trying to catch up. Compare that to the years before when he would miss 20 days in one month and I had to put him on an IEP just because he needed time to try and make up all his work.
He has also been doing some motocross racing on some local tracks, which he really enjoys. He loves to work on his dirt bike, ride at the coast and ride with friends. He has also been working out at the gym with my husband a few nights a week after school. Right now, it's hay season and he wanted to earn some extra money, so he and a friend have had jobs bucking hay several nights a week after school. Throwing 70 pound bales up onto moving trailers for a few hours after school is not something he ever could have done if he had not been cured of his Lyme Disease.. not only that, but to do it several nights in a row!
Tonight they are finishing up a job for one of their teachers chopping huge rounds of wood ( by hand... no wood splitter!) for some extra money. None of these activities would have been possible prior to eradicating Lyme Disease from his body. He would have been in pain, physically exhausted, sick all the time... He has the stamina and energy of a normal teenager now and it's kind of blowing my mind that both of my sons are so happy, healthy and strong!
My husband is going to the gym about four nights a week after work and he's looking pretty sexy :) (I wish I could say the same for me, but I hate working out, plus I don't have time.) He has always liked to go to the gym on and off over the years, but for many years, he did not do any physical activity and drank a lot. I don't know if it's the Lyme-N working it's magic, but he is taking supplements and is really into his health and doing great.
For me: It's June and it *should* be warm and sunny right now. We did have some of that for a few weeks on and off, but for the past week, it's been raining. What this means for me is pain. I'm kind of back in my winter funk a little bit. Even though Summer Solstice is right around the corner, the barometric pressure changes cause joint pain ( full moon a couple nights ago, too) and perhaps that is why I am feeling emotional, because right now there is no reason I should be feeling like I do. I still struggle in the mornings to function. I get up at 6 and get Colby off to school, but then I crash again, so my days are all messed up and start late. I wake up at night and have had more insomnia than usual the past week or two.
Overall, I continue to improve and take my adrenal exhaustion supplements. I have to run and go pick up Colby!
