I am at a point that I have not been at in years, and I am not sure why. I can only speculate that the antibiotics I was on definitely effected my hormones in some positive way, and now my body is missing them. Also perhaps somehow getting rid of the Lyme has made these symptoms more prevalent. And lastly, that Lyme N has iodine in it and that is a GOOD thing for adrenal exhaustion/thyroid. So my body is perhaps craving some iodine again and been thrown all out of whack with the lack thereof.
I am also on Adderall still, which could be a contributing factor, for sure. Since I should be Lyme free, I have decided to tackle my Adrenal Exhaustion once again. A few years ago, my LLND diagnosed me with it, and started me on some different supplements, and RX's none of which were really the whole answer, although I did get temporary relief from symptoms by using different things: The oral hydrocortizone did make me feel great and put me in a really good mood, but I gained a half a pound EVERY DAY I was on it. Not worth it.
Progesterone also helped for a while, but I think the dose was too high and it would wear off and I think I got a headache when that happened and felt horrible. So it worked while it was in my system, but I paid for it later. Iodine also helped alleviate symptoms, but it built up in my system and then I had to stop taking it.
I was on a few different Standard Process supplements: Drenamin, Thyrotrophin, etc. I did not notice any improvement with those.
However, I was desperately ill at that time, in bed most of the time, and nothing seemed to be working.
I just started re-reading and re-educating myself on Adrenal Exhaustion/Fatigue and found a few very helpful websites. I put myself on a new regimen of supplements, so we'll see how that goes. See my new page on Adrenal Fatigue for those details.
