I myself did it and I would hear the boys across the house at night, just once in a while at night with a 'cough!'.
My husband would wake me up almost every night with a cough here and there. Then one day a few (several?) years ago I came across a website that talked about the "Lyme Cough". It was mentioned in a group of Lyme symptoms and exactly described what we all experienced every night. Ever since, it was like a light went on in my head every time I heard one of those nighttime Lyme "coughs".... I noticed it much more and chalked it up to just one more way Lyme was stealing our quality of life. None of us used to have it, but over the years, as our symptoms and Lyme progressed it was just one little thing added that I guess I didn't really think anything of. Other than it was irritating and woke me up at night.
Tonight, Colby's cold/congestion cough reminded me that our Lyme coughs are GONE! I can't even tell you when it stopped, but it's one of those symptoms that you just wake up one day and realize it's disappeared. Now that I consciously think about it, I don't recall the last time I had it or I heard the boys or Brian have one. Over the past few months it just went away. It is another symptom that the Lyme-N just eradicated and is no more!
