So, a couple months ago I had stopped taking the progesterone after one week because it was making me fat. I had some good improvements in mood, for sure, but the added fat made me stop. The next month, I paid for it. Big Time. So I went back on it and have been taking 50 mg a day for about 6 weeks or so. It's working well, but I have gained a couple pounds. That could have something to do with the time of year, too.
He said I could even up my dose to 100-150 mg as 50 is an extremely low dose and most people are started out on 100 mg. We agreed that for now, I am just going to chill out, maintain my current regimin, maybe try 100 mg of Progesterone and see if it helps even more during PMS. I'll stay on the Andrenogen an Adderall and he'll see me in a year.
I told him about my SAD. Just that I feel blah, unmotivated, lethargic in the winter. He mentioned taking Vit D3, and I told him I had been taking it lately~ I started a few weeks ago on and off. For me, for every pro, there is a con. D3 makes my hair fall out. Not just a little bit. A lot. No doctor knows why and they all say it makes no sense. However, I have felt MUCH better on the D3, so I'll stick with it for now.
My sons both brought home lovely viruses. Hunter gave me his sore throat two weeks ago and it still lingers. Three days ago Colby got a really nasty flu with the horrible migraine, chills, stuffy nose, cough and exhaustion. He got it from his friend that was also home from school, too, so I know it was a flu virus. Their whole family had it. He's feeling better tonight and will try and go to school tomorrow.
In light of that, I dug out some old supplements my neighbor gave me that her Lyme Doc. had her taking. It is called Transfer Factor Multi-Immune. I'm loving it. It makes me feel really good, gives me energy and a positive mood. That, combined with the progesterone, D3 and Adderall have me feeling better than I have in YEARS and years in the winter.
Here is a pic of the bottle and the back label:
