He didn't listen to me and wear a helmet and DID have a bad wreak. I guess he was going way too fast for a jump (they are hard packed, like ice) and flew really, really high on the air, tried to do a flip or something, got disoriented and landed on his back, hitting his head really hard. I was not there, but he didn't vomit or have dialated pupils. He continued to snowboard after that. He still didn't rent a helmet and ended up hitting his head about 4 more times he said. I was SO angry! Words can't describe how upset I was!
All this time working so hard to get well, and he's going to have brain damage from a totally preventable concussion. I was furious and I let him know it. Concussions can have long term symptoms that may never go away, including brain damage that have the same symptoms as Lyme (mood swings, etc).
When he came home, he was really tired, sore all over and had a bad headache. That night, he felt really bad and he actually thinks he may have broken his tailbone ( in a different snowboarding accident where someone slammed into him and knocked him down).
Today it seems he is feeling much better, although a little more sluggish, he has been in a good mood, but has that 'out of it' look on his face. So, I'm just praying that we don't go backwards now in his recovery....
As for me: The past week I have felt pretty darn good. By that, I mean I have had good energy throughout the day and been able to get a LOT of work done. Granted, I am still on Adderall, but I don't have a crash at all anymore. It's weird. I just keep right on going and can get so much done right on into the evening and late at night.
This is the beginning of PMS week and I do have more joint and muscle pain, and headaches in the evening and morning. My face has been hurting (bells palsy) as per normal, been teary, and had insomnia and crazy dreams, etc. all the usual symptoms. But I haven't been totally exhausted all day every day like usual. Often, my Adderall won't work during PMS and actually will have the reverse effect and make me feel tired when I take it...and it's normal for me to just want to sleep 23 hours a day, but so far I'm not experiencing the exhaustion... :) I'm feeling really encouraged!
