Do you feel like Lyme-N has worked for you? Would you do it again/recommend it?
I have been off all antibiotics for a year now and taken no other Lyme treatment whatsoever since July 2015. I finished nebulizing 8 1/2 months ago, November 2015. I have not gotten worse, and I would be really, really sick if the Lyme-N had not worked. I have adrenal exhaustion which has many, many symptoms that overlap with Lyme, so it's difficult to nail down why I am having ongoing symptoms.
My immune system is very weakened due to the AE. When you have AE, your body can't fight off, for instance, viruses so I have ongoing shingles issues, I am allergic to everything (adrenals are not producing hydrocortizone), have muscle and joint pain, exhaustion in the mornings, mood swings, etc.
I would say the Lyme N has worked for me, because I have not had a major, steady return of symptoms such as nerve damage, muscle weakness, cramping, tinnitis, vision floaters, etc. To be clear: I have had these symptoms come and go and cycle, for sure. So it's not that they are totally gone, but I can only imagine how bad I would be if the Lyme-N had not killed the spirochetes.
That said, it's been almost a year and I think I would like to nebulize again and see if I can overcome some of these other symptoms. The past couple weeks I have had a comeback of neck pain and it's been bad enough that I can't sleep at night. Really painful. I am having some minor muscle spasms/cramping on and off that worry me. That was a symptom that was gone for a time, but is 'cycling' now.
I will say that seeing firsthand the results my sons have had is a huge factor in my confidence in Lyme-N. I'll admit that if it was just me and my results I was going by, my hope and expectations would not have been met .... yet. I was looking forward and hoping to have amazing results, feeling at least 75% recovered by now. I can't say that is the case. But again, Lyme destroyed my body and killed my adrenals, so I have a long way to go and other health obstacles to overcome; side effects of the Lyme.
However, my sons DID have the miraculous recovery I was hoping for. In fact, I have said many times that it's far beyond what I could have imagined for them. Lyme-N has been the silver bullet for them and they are making complete recoveries.
I just checked in with Hunter last night and specifically asked him about symptoms. The two that he notices are the shaking in his hands still~the left is worse than the right, like Parkinson's. That is due to nerve damage which can take a very long time to heal, or many not completely heal at all. The other is that once in a while, he will stutter. It's nothing like he used to do and he can talk normally now without pauses and losing his train of thought (It's something I had not even noticed) It's so much easier to listen to him and have a conversation without all the pauses and complete stoppage of sentences right in the middle of a thought. I would say that is 90% better. These two symptoms are nothing compared to the totally debilitating mental, emotional and physical symptoms he used to have.
Who knows what future improvements will come as his brain continues to heal over time?
